Hans-Kristian may come from a humble badminton background, but his passion for badminton pushes him to want to do more for the sports he loves. Despite not playing a role as a Solibad Ambassador, Hans decided to use his badminton shirt for a good cause.

Since I don’t have a sponsor yet, I might as well make use of my shirt to help people. When I saw that Peter was auctioning his shirt and medal for Solibad, I actually told him he should auction  the last shuttle too.  It came out as a joke but then I realized that he had done it with his shirt and his gold medal too. I think that this whole thing a really good idea, and I figured I could make a small difference too and putting the logo on my short could be a good way to promote SOLIBAD’s work.

hans1Hans-Kristian, who fell in love with the sport when he was five years old, sees the potential in Solibad. “I hope that in time to come, Solibad will grow to become bigger and more players can participate in it. I’m involved in badminton and the choice for this charity organisation was of course obvious.”

His big heart also comes with big ideas. “I think more can be done to help Solibad grow. Right now I have a couple of ideas that might work, such as contributing a part of our prize money. It’s just an idea and I haven’t really thought it through. However, I’m sure that if a lot of players can just contribute a little to it, it will become something significant. I see a lot of players out there who dont have a sponsor on their shirts, so, they could do it as well. It just costs a little bit of money to have the logo printed on all my shirts,” he hinted.

The Dane was really close to proceeding to the next round of Singapore Open Super Series. However, he had to surrender to Kashyap Parupalli from India in a 14-21, 21-17, 18-21 match. His next tournament is Indonesia Open Super Series where he will face Marc Zwiebler from Germany in the first round.
