The BWF announced on Sunday in Shanghai a new partnership with OSIM International, a global leader in branded well-being and healthy lifestyle products, as their title sponsor for the new Super Series circuit to begin in 2011.
“The partnership with OSIM is a massive boost for badminton and it underlines the BWF World Super Series as a global product,” said BWF President, Dr. Kang Young Joong.
“The sport of Badminton has a strong and passionate following in Asia as well as in Europe. This fits very well with OSIM’s growing presence around the world,” said OSIM’s CEO Mr. Ron Sim.
The new 3-year circuit kicks off with the Malaysia Super Series with a new prize money of US$400,000 followed by the most lucrative of all tournaments, the first of the upgraded Premier Super Series events: the 2001 Korea Open with no less than US$1.2 million at stake.
