ALL ENGLAND 2011 QF – Russkikh into another All England Semi Final

Anastasia Russkikh of Russia drew all the headlines in 2009 as she, along with partner of the day Flandy Limpele, made it to the All England semi-finals in just their second tournament together. Russkikh is back again into yet another semi-final but this time with a different Indonesian partner in the shape of Hendra Setiawan.

The Russian/Indonesian combination, who are both recovering from injury and have not played much in the past month, managed to overpower top Danish pair of Joachim Fischer and Christinna Pedersen.

The last time these two pairs met, at the French Open, it was the Russkikh and Setiawan who came out on top in a three-game battle. Today again, the Russian/Indonesian pairing were victorious in three after losing concentration in the second game to allow Fischer and Pedersen back into the match.

The late night crowd stayed to cheer on the last match on the TV court with a big Russian and Indonesian contingent in the hall cheering every success for Russkikh and Setiawan.
