ALL ENGLAND 2011 Qualification – Delighted Danes!!

Mie Schjoett Kristiansen and Mikkel Delbo Larsen were amongst the happiest people in the National Indoor Arena on qualification day as they advanced to the main draw proper with two impressive victories over tough opposition.

The Danes, who had a troubled 2010, have appeared to turn the corner in 2011 as they enter the critical qualification period for the World Championships in August. Schjoett and Delbo Larsen saw off the threat of top French pair Careme and Choinet in round 1 in two intense games 21-19, 22-20 and followed up that good form with a comprehensive 2 game win over Liao Min Chun and Chen Hsiao Huan of Chinese Taipei 21-10 21-10

The Danes will now face number 5 seeds Tao Jiaming and Tian Qing from China in the first round proper.
