ALL ENGLAND 2011 R16 – Yamada Flies Flag for Japan

Kazushi Yamada continued his giant-killing roller coaster ride at the All England in Birmingham after yesterday sending home number 2 seed Taufik Hidayat and today dealt a killer blow to Wang Zhengming in three games.

The diminutive Japanese shuttler is attempting to do what his team-mate Kenichi Tago did last year here at the All England and get to an All England final against the odds. Tago failed in the second round today while Yamada managed to get revenge on the tall Wang Zhengming after the Chinese newcomer destroyed him in the Korean Premier Super Series earlier in the year.
