Police find ex-girlfriend responsible
Seoul police this week revealed that the online messaging account of Korean badminton doubles star Lee Yong Dae was hacked by the athlete’s ex-girlfriend, according to a report in the Seoul daily the Kyunghyang Shinmun. The culprit, identified only as a ‘Ms. A’, was apparently dating the Beijing gold medallist for several months, during which time she got a hold of his ID and password for the online messaging service Nate-ON.
A spokesman for the police told the paper that Ms. A was monitoring the account’s contact list for other women and calling them to hear their voices, apparently driven by jealousy. Lee apparently called the police after repeated password changes failed to prevent further unauthorized use of his account.
