SUPER SERIES FINALS 2011 – Draws out

The draw of the Li-Ning OSIM BWF Super Series finals were conducted today in Liuzhou, China, with some inspiring clashes for the round robin stage already. In the men’s singles, Group B features Lin Dan, Chen Long and Taufik Hidayat while Peter Gade will clash with Lee Chong Wei but avoids the Chinese shuttlers. Group A of the women’s singles sounds promising with Tine Baun, Wang Yihan, Juliane Schenk and Sung Ji Hyun.

During a press conference, Korea’s Lee and Jung dismissed rumours that they would withdrawal from the tournament and hinted they were there to win. They will face three top pairs in the name of Boe/Mogensen, Koo/Tan and Ahsan/Septano in the group stage. As in other categories, only the top two pairs (or players) of each group will qualify for the semi-final stage.
