The European National Olympic Councils have decided to create the “European Olympic Games” and the first edition will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2015. The good news for badminton is that it is amongst the 13 sports that have been officially integrated in the original program with 4 more sports trying to join the program. This new multi-sport competition is a response from Europe to the famous Asian Games and the no less famous Pan American, Oceanian and African Games. Europe was alone in not having its own continental games.
