John Gowers, the man behind the famous Voice announcing the players’ entrances at the All England for many years, has passed away. Father of famous player Gillian Gowers, who had more than 123 English caps, he was a key figure of Badminton England as an administrator, umpire and someone deeply involved in the sport. We at Badzine send our condolences to John’s family. He and his voice will be greatly missed when the Superseries Premier event kicks off next March in Birmingham.
