The Vietnam Open recovered from a partial stadium collapse on Tuesday by relocating to another facility and resuming play on Wednesday morning, according to an article published yesterday on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) website. After a section of the roof came down onto the courts at Phan Dinh Phung Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, organisers worked fast to prepare the Tan Binh Sports Center to accomodate the event for the remainder of the week. Referee Julie Carrel told the BWF that she expected the event to be back on schedule by the time of the quarter-finals on Friday.
