In a sumptuous ceremony held in the fancy district of Gangnam, Seoul, Korea’s world number one Yoo Yeon Seong tied the knot with his Japanese wife Eriko Tsuchiya. The newlyweds’ fairytale started back in 2011, when the two met in a plane, while Yoo was travelling to Tokyo for the Japan Superseries. The top men’s doubles player then couldn’t help but fall for the charming Japanese lady and her perfect Korean language skills. Fortunately for Yoo, his wife Eriko Tsuchiya chose to live next to the Taeneung National Training Center – where all national team players are required to live in the dormitory for most of the year – to support her husband’s career.
Coincidentally, on the same day, most of the Korean national team were down on the southern Island of Jeju for the 32nd annual bi-national friendly with Japan’s national team.
All of us at Badzine wish Yeon Seong and Eriko a life full of joy and happiness!
