41-year-old Peter Ramussen is World Champion…again. The former 1997 World Champion took his first world crown since his epic final against China’s Sun Jun when he beat Austria’s Jurgen Koch today in Sweden, to top the +40 category of the BWF World Championships. The Dane had little trouble throughout the tournament, winning all matches in straight games. He will not however be returning to Denmark with two crowns: In men’s doubles, he and compatriot Thomas Stavngaard couldn’t beat other former heroes Hariyanto Arbi and Tri Kusharjanto.

England and Denmark have shared most success in Helsingborg this week-end.
