Naoko Fukuman / Kurumi Yonao (pictured) are the only substitutions from among the forty entries for next week’s Superseries Finals in Dubai. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) released the final list of qualifiers today and it confirms the announcement from the Nippon Badminton Association that Fukuman/Yonao would go in place of #7 Reika Kakiiwa / Miyuki Maeda.

Both Japanese pairs, along with Nozomi Okuhara had to be withdrawn from the U.S. Grand Prix event, this first time in the 8 historical editions of the Superseries Finals that qualified players were already entered in a concurrent event. Even with the substitution, Japan will still have one of the largest contingents at the Superseries Finals. China has the maximum six pairs and four singles players, for a total of 14 players as both Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei have qualified in two events. Denmark has six entries and Korean and Japan have five qualifiers each.
