As March 8th is the International Women’s Day, Badminton Europe has come up with a new idea to put women on the stand when it comes to badminton. While there is an ongoing controversy about the rule concerning the obligation to wear skirts coming up, this brilliant initiative will surely be welcomed by the whole badminton community.

Badminton Europe has created a women’s badminton website and a BEC Badminton award for:

  • Personality of the year
  • Project of the year

The first awards will be given in 2012.
