No worries for Wang Lin’s injury

A left-knee injury caused Wang Lin to retire halfway through the first set against compatriot Wang Shixian in the Round of 16 this afternoon. However, there is no cause for worries as China’s women’s singles coach Zhang Ning told Badzine later that it is deemed to be only a slight strain.

Wang, of course, recently recovered from a serious injury in last fall’s China Masters which had required surgery.
