The BWF conducted tonight – right after the last match of the preliminary round – its first draw of the new format of the Thomas and Uber Cups. It is a tough draw for Korea in the Thomas Cup, as they will have to face China again in the quarter-final, the day after just playing the title -holders. Malaysia, defeated by Japan against the odds will be playing Denmark while Japan takes on Germany and Indonesia is up against India. The Indonesians seem to have been the lucky ones, avoiding all the other top four guns in their half.
