Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday congratulated badminton ace Saina Nehwal for defending her title in the Djarum Indonesia Open, making it her third victory in as many weeks.
“Saina had shown spirit, determination and skill in winning the championship,” the Prime Minister said in a statement to IANS. The prime minister said the badminton ace had done the country proud and was a role model for the youth.
