If there is no player, there is no BWF.
Poul Erik Hoyer, President of Badminton Europe, took some time to respond to questions from Badzine in an exclusive interview during the Yonex All England tournament on March 7th, 2013. The Dane put his ideas in perspective, just weeks before the vote for the BWF presidency, where he is one of the three candidates for the job.
He talks about how he believes the players should be in the centre of the BWF’s actions, but also, about Europe succeeding in catching up to Asia and his native country, Denmark, being pushed by other European nations. Hoyer also talks about what kind of man he is – his personal life – in this 24-minute feature.
Poul Erik Hoyer’s exclusive interview:
BWF Presidential Elections will be held in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting on May 18th, 2013.
