The Yonex Internationaux de France may suffer from the casualties of the Yonex Denmark Open held this week in Odense. According to our sources on site, at least two top seeds will miss the event in Paris as Li Xuerui was suffering from a severe skin allergy – which was the reason why she withdrew from her quarter-final against Wang Shixian – and was said to have flown directly to Beijing from Copenhagen. Mohammad Ahsan, top seed in Paris in men’s doubles with Hendra Setiawan, also injured himself during his final and will most likely go back to Jakarta on Monday. Last but not least, Wang Xiaoli, big favourite to take the title in Paris with Yu Yang, is uncertain as well. This could mean 3 top seeds off the list for the event in the French capital, which will, however, see some great badminton next week.  Badzine will be there live to cover the event for our readers.
